Celebrity skincare routines often mix routine lies with half-baked truths.

Before purchasing those tempting skincare potions from your favorite star, I always advocate for more information. Specifically, they should disclose how many procedures they've had with their plastic surgeon or skincare specialist! I propose that a disclaimer should be added to their advertisements, akin to how pharmaceutical companies are mandated to disclose side effects in their advertising.

I'm astounded that celebrities often conflate the mutually exclusive concepts of 'aging with grace' and 'aging helplessly.' They often obscure their use of anti-aging treatments and technologies. Aesthetic anti-aging is among the fastest-growing fields in modern medicine. While it may not be covered by health insurance, it undeniably enhances our skin's longevity and presents fresh opportunities for graceful aging.

So, before we invest in a Kardashian lip plumper or JLo’s olive oil glow, we deserve the full story.
