Protocols of longevity in healthcare

Longevity medicine is a concept that came very organically to me, as my life’s journey through the world of healthcare led me to become a geriatrician in New York. However, geriatrics, as we know it through the lens of medical insurance, lacks the capacity for preventative maintenance. 

 This shortfall leaves many aging individuals scrambling to cover health and wellness costs as out-of-pocket expenses. As we hope for change, we brace ourselves for the harsh reality: healthcare covers only acute and chronic disease management, while health and wellness remain out-of-pocket expenses, even in the world’s richest countries.
